This weekend, you will see 19-year-old Jay Favors’ wish to be a Horned Frog come true as he joins the team on the field for pregame.
Favors’ was a high school football player who aspired to play for the TCU Horned Frogs when, suddenly, his life took on a whole new meaning after he was paralyzed, from the neck down, after a head collision with another player his sophomore year.
This past summer, Favors and his family spent some coveted time with Coach Gary Patterson. They got an in-depth tour of the football complex and spent some time with the team at practice. Favors said it was one of the best days of his life.
