Kenrich Williams Makes NBA Roster

Former Frogs star basketball player, Kenrich Williams is in the NBA. He has made the opening day final roster with the New Orleans Pelicans. Williams is now just one of about 450 basketball players in the world who can say they play in the NBA. You don’t have to be good at math to figure out this is the elite. Williams is set to make $838,464 this year.

The 6’7″, 210-pound small forward played for the Frogs from 2014-2018. He was hoping to be the first TCU player drafted in the NBA, in about two decades, but ended up undrafted. Williams kept hustling, kept fighting, and beat out a lot of drafted players to earn an NBA roster spot. He played in 102 career games at TCU, averaging 11 points, 2.7 assists with 8.6 rebounds per game.

It’s probably safe to say there are a lot more New Orleans Pelicans fans in Ft. Worth, today. Here is Williams showing off his TCU interview skills earlier in the week.
