TCU had some big time high school talent in The Carter on Saturday night. One of those prep stars was, Permian High School ‘do it all‘ four-star recruit, Peyton Powell. This guy looks great in purple!
Powell was all eyes as the Frogs defeated Big 12 foe, Iowa State, in front of an electric crowd.
This guy belongs with the Flying Frogs. Powell is a 6’2″, 182-pound stud athlete. He is a high school, dual sport, and dual-threat quarterback. He can play just about every skill position on the football field. Check out his footwork.
Last year, at Midland Christian High School, Powell had 1,077 yards passing and 13 touchdowns in the air. He added another 1,014 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground. He did all this despite missing three games with a broken rib. Powell transferred to Permian High School for his senior year and he has been on absolute fire since. Check out this highlight from a few weeks ago.
Powell received his TCU offer back in June and fans are excited about the possibilities.
Remember, ESPN ranked TCU as the best in the nation at developing NFL talent.
There are some other schools, in the mix, such as Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Texas. Frogs fans keep your fingers crossed. This guy needs to be in Ft. Worth!
