TCU Horned Frogs starting pitcher, Nick Lodolo, was just ranked the fourth best college Major League Baseball Draft prospect in 2019, by D1baseball.com. The 6’6″, 185 pound, left handed, junior was 7-4 last year, with a 4.33 ERA and 93 strikeouts.
Lodolo was taken 41st overall by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2016 MLB Draft. He turned down $1.75 million, to go to college, and play for the Horned Frogs. Lodolo has had an excellent career in Ft Worth and should be even better in the 2019 college baseball season. He is known for a low 90’s fastball and a big breaking curveball.
His career honors include two-time 2nd-team All-Big 12 Conference, 2018 2nd-team Academic All-Big 12, 2017 Baseball America 2nd-team Freshman All-American, 2017 Big 12 All-Freshman team, 2017 Big 12 Academic All-rookie team and more.
