Former TCU star slugger, Luken Baker, aka ‘Bake Show’ launches a two-run home run and earns Player of the Game honors in the Peoria Chiefs 3-0 postseason win Wednesday night. Baker was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals with the 75th overall pick in this year’s Major League Baseball Draft. The Cardinals may have stolen the draft as Baker is quickly rising to the top of the minor league system. Check out this clutch #BakerBomb
When you plate all three runs and your team wins, you probably deserve to be named Player of the Game.
Here is what Baker had to say about the big win in game one of the Midwest League Western Division playoffs. The Peoria Chiefs play Quad Cities in game two tonight at 6:35pm.
Baker may be playing in the Big Leagues with Horned Frogs legend and Cardinals National League MVP candidate Matt Carpenter sooner than expected. Go Frogs! Join the conversation at Killerfrogs.com.
